AMOLED and PMOLED

Passive-Matrix OLEDs (PMOLEDs) are limited in size and resolution, but are cheaper and easier to make in comparison to an Active-Matrix (AMOLED). An AMOLED uses an active-matrix thin film transistors array and storage capacitors, and the active matrix displays are more efficient and can be made larger. These kinds of displays are usually applied in smartphones, tablets and TVs.
